A decorating theme of Blues and Bears seems to have evolved.
Blues
The blues originated with my niece Julie's dress. Julie is one of our flower girls, along with Bill's niece Grace, who is 4. This is a dress Julie has that she would like to wear, and it happens to be white and blue.
The blues (plural) developed from Bill's preference that his groomsmen not be given matching ties forcing them to conform, but each be allowed the freedom to choose his own blue.
Bill doesn't want to dress up like a penguin, so the men aren't wearing tuxes - they're wearing dark grey or black suits, white shirts, and ties in different shades of blue. Bridesmaids are wearing black dresses, in their own individual choices of styles.

I looked for a wedding dress that is not white, because I'd like to buy something I can wear again. Initially I was looking for a peach dress, but then I came across this one, and really like it. The dress I've chosen for myself happens to be blue. I bought nearly everything for my wedding, including my wedding dress, for excellent prices on eBay.
My bridal gown
We both prefer that I not wear a veil, so I won't be wearing one. I would like to wear something kind of special on my hair, so I'll be wearing this tiara.
My tiara
I came across some blue decorations, so we'll use these to decorate the hall. The hall is very nice with lots of interesting paintings on the walls and doesn't really need decorating, but I like to add my own touch. We'll use these again for the reception in Saskatoon on July 24.
24 Blue 6' silk flower garlands
I'm not sure what I'll use this wide, sheer ribbon for, but it looks like it will come in handy, it's an excellent price, and it's blue.
